Fear is Not Always Bad
Fear is often associated with a negative context, but is it truly negative? As a child we often feared that if we did something our parents told us not to do there would be consequences or we wanted our parents to be proud of us and so in turn we chose not to do something by fear of dishonoring them. Now let's turn this to our heavenly father.
If we have a deep reverence of God we begin to make efforts of intentionality, we begin to create a God like conscience. We are intentional of the way we treat others, how we speak, how we handle ourselves. I know it is easier said than done, but let go of the what ifs or the what if I fail questions and the what if I'm not good enough questions. You are deserving and should anticipate God's awe. Anticipate what he is going to do for you. Anticipate growth beyond what you can imagine. Don't ever let fear take the greatness God put in you.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7 NIV
