Lifetime

It feels like a lifetime has passed through the grips of my hands

Ripped away by decisions, promises or lack of thereof

More than a quarter crisis, deeper than a mid-life and past saving.

Stumbling through all you know and discovery.

Wishing you were not so aware of the existence of what will forever linger in your heart.

Guilt, need, want, selfishness swirls into an oblivion more abstract.

Shame on you, shame on me, shame on it all.
